Jemaine Clement

Jemaine Clement is an acclaimed documentarian who specialises in matters of the occult. His documentary film What We Do In The Shadows uncovered a dark but humanly unhuman underworld of vampires and nosferatu living in his hometown of Wellington. In order to support his first love of supernatural documentary-making, Jemaine makes a living acting in low-budget films such as Men In Black III, Dinner For Shmucks and The BFG or in small underground TV shows like FX’s Legion. He also occasionally busks on the street with his folk band, Flight Of The Conchords.

Taika Waititi

Taika Waititi received an Oscar® nomination for his short documentary Two Cars, One Night in 2005 and has since gone on to make the acclaimed documentary films Boy, What We Do In The Shadows and Hunt For The Wilderpeople. His most recent documentary film Thor: Ragnarok was a moving character study about a man who loses his sense of masculinity when he misplaces his hammer. The film won the coveted ‘Palme De Tool’ award at the prestigious Tool-Related Documentary Festival (TRDF) in Boise, Idaho in 2017.

Paul Yates

Paul Yates is an award-winning documentary producer from Wellington. He won the award for swimming the width of the Rongotea School pool in 1975. Paul has worked on a number of New Zealand documentaries over the last 25 years. He is probably best known for his work on the moving documentary Ultimate Garden where 4 green-thumbed couples competed for $15,000 worth of gardening implements; and for the dark and powerful 100 Hours where 4 people were locked in an underground bunker for just over 4 days in order to win a small car.
